A playlist can hold dozens of songs, which makes it tempting to convert the whole list at once. The reality is that most online converters work on one link at a time, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Working track by track keeps your files clean and your folder organised.
Start by taking stock of the list
Open the playlist and note how many videos it contains and roughly how long they are. A twenty-track list at high quality can easily add up to a few hundred megabytes, so check that your device has the space before you begin.
The honest truth about batch conversion
Some tools advertise playlist support, but results vary: order can change, private videos in the list fail, and duplicates sneak in. For music you actually care about, converting one track at a time gives you control over the quality and the final file name.
A repeatable playlist workflow
- Open the first video in the playlist and copy its link.
- Paste the link into the converter and confirm the title and channel.
- Download the MP3 at the quality you want.
- Rename the file so the playlist order is obvious, such as
01 - Track name.mp3. - Move it into a folder named after the playlist, then repeat.
Watch the total size
At 320 kbps, a four-minute song is roughly ten megabytes. Twenty of them is about two hundred megabytes. If space is tight, drop talk-heavy tracks to 128 kbps — the difference is hard to hear on a phone.
Keep it legal
Only download tracks you are allowed to save for personal use — see the basics of copyright and personal use. A playlist being public does not make every song free to redistribute, so keep your copies private and respect the creators.
